She believes that perceiving your food as medicine; practising yoga and meditation; experiencing laughter and love are all keys to gaining and sustaining health.

Since completing her Bachelor degree in Health Science (Naturopathy), she has gained clinical experience around Australia, working in Brisbane, Bryon Bay and Hobart. She has also spent the last year working at Sukhavati Ayurvedic Retreat in Bali. There she consulted with guests and guided them through their Panchakarma program while also educating them about the philosophy of Ayurveda and ways they can incorporate this ancient science into their daily life.

Tegan’s love for Ayurveda began when she felt the incredible healing and rejuvenating effects of her first Panchakarma many years ago in India. Since then she has been very fortunate to be taken on as a student in Ayurvedic Medicine by world-renowned Ayurvedic doctor Dr. Smita Naram from Ayushakti Ayurveda in Mumbai, India. She has been travelling to India for the past few years to continue her training with Dr. Smita and her team of Vaidya’s at Ayushakti, gaining clinical experience in Ayurvedic consultations, Panchakarma therapy and deepening her skill in the ancient art and science of Ayurvedic pulse diagnosis. She is also currently furthering her studies in Ayurveda, Yoga and Meditation under Dr. David Frawley from the American Institute of Vedic studies.

Tegan completed her 200 Hour Yoga teacher training with Awakened Life School of Yoga in Bali. During the course she trained in Vinyasa Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Pranayama, and Yoga Nidra.

Tegan’s Yoga classes introduce students to traditional yoga postures, yogic breathing techniques, meditation and guided relaxation, delivered in a way that synchronises the movement with breath to create a meditative flow. She is passionate about sharing the knowledge she has gained from the incredible doctors and teachers she has had throughout her years of study, and supporting you on this journey to health and happiness.

Tegan will be hosting programs in 2015. Dates will be released shortly.
