The advanced meditation program is a simple, natural, effortless set of procedures that accelerate the personal growth gained from your meditation technique. It will enrich what you are already developing through your twice daily practice of transcending.

Your mind is settling down to the source of thought and you are having experiences of pure consciousness — that state of restful alertness. When we learn and include the advanced techniques these train you to think and act from this most silent and powerful level of the mind.

As well as learning these techniques, we will have time to explore Rishikesh. Rishikesh is located in the foothills of the Himalays in northern India, it is known as The Gateway to the Garhwal Himalays. It is where Maharishi Mahesh Yogi established the first Ashram on the river banks of the Ganges and where the Beatles came and spent time in Rishikesh. It is known as the yoga capital of the world.

The city is known as one of the holiest places in India set on the mighty Ganges river. It’s a place where seekers of the spiritual enlightenment travel as they seek inner purity and true transformation.

7 reasons to be with us in India

What this immersion will give you personally, what you will gain, learn, experience and leave with.

1. The benefits of Group Consciousness in Meditation

Deep rest, recovery, inspiration and joy.

You will have time and space to dive more deeply into your meditation and yoga experience with morning and afternoon programs designed to create deeper experiences rest and joy.

2. Unfolding our Human Potential. The Advanced Meditation Techniques

In the history of the Vedic knowledge, there has been great teachers who have explored and created pathways to gain greater knowledge and experience. This can develop or increase the ability for us all to maximise our personal development.

You will gain a new set of techniques to learn, practise and experience in addition to your current meditation practice. This is not theoretical knowledge; it is experiential. A new set of techniques will be given during your stay in India on the course.

3. Explore our Bigger Vision, Purpose and Meaning; Why we are here?

Discover the knowledge of Vedic literature expounding peace, happiness and enlightenment.

The vastness of Vedic knowledge covers so many books, ancient texts, and many areas of study. We will put this wisdom into a context that is easy to grasp and understand – even if we just touch the surface of a life time of teaching.

Learn and experience how and what the literature expounds in all areas of knowledge and life.

4. Explore your Inward Journey through Jyotish – Vedic Astrology.

Explore Vedic astrology personally by having a Vedic astrologer create and discuss your own birth chart. You will learn to understand the significance and purpose of Astrology, and why it has been an important tool in the Vedic tradition to help create a deeper understanding of our personal life journey.

5. Explore, experience, see India and the magical Himalayas.

The Himalayas have a long spiritual tradition of pilgrimages, temples and meditation. Our base for the 2 weeks, Rishikesh, is set on the mighty river Ganges at the foot of these majestic peaks. Rishikesh, along with Hardware, is one of the most spiritual places in India. We will visit Rishikesh and explore sacred temples, observe time-old ceremonies, and preform Yagyas (ancient Vedic healing practice) with trained Vedic Pundits.

We will also have time to explore the town itself. Wander the alleyways, weaving your way around cows, holy men and other spiritual seekers. Discover a plethora of nooks and crannies as we stumble across shops, chai stalls, and bookstores. Soak in the colour and vibrancy of the ceremonies being performed along the river with the smell of incense wafting through the air. A photo opportunity at every moment, this town is not to be missed.

6. Fun and adventure – White water rafting, hikes and walks.

All trips to the Ganges – spiritual or otherwise, must have the fullness of life’s experiences.

Along with being immersed with the inner self in the silence of meditation, we must also take time enjoy the experience of outer life. Ensure you are enlivened with a dip in the Ganges as we float down the rapids, hike into the foothills and enjoy the lush green hills of Rajaji national Park.

Life is meant to be bliss and experienced in its totality. Enjoy adventure and fun, along with silence and knowledge.

7. Emersion. Discovery. Inspiration. Time for you to simply ‘be’.

Sabbatical – a term derived from the biblical Sabbath which serves an ancient human need to build periods of rest and rejuvenation into a lifetime.

Time – yes, mother time is a gift of life defined by each new day. With it the ever-moving years pass by on life’s journey. To stop and experience time is rare. To slow down and ‘be’ is a gift. To have nowhere to rush to or anything to do is a pleasure. To sit and chat, meditate for longer periods, to renew learning and take time to think, plan and be inspired away from your routine is a simple pleasure.

Throughout this course you will be on a routine that will allow you plenty of time for reflection. It will be both full on and silent, intermixed with so many different experiences.

In some ways, India is so ancient that the new and the timeless emerge. Past and present blend and you gain a perception of antiquity. India the perfect setting to experience this flow of time.

Past Guest Experiences

Participating in the Advanced Meditation & Vedic Science Course at Sukhavati

“I feel very blessed to have attended this course. It’s provided me with teachings which I will carry with me for a life-time. Rishikesh as a destination, provided the opportunity to be immersed into an Indian culture where the philosophies of Meditation and Ayerveda are lived and breathed. Witnessing this culture promoted deeper levels of understanding of the history and practices and created a very special environment for experiencing the teachings. Steve as a facilitator was phenomenal. He presented the information in a way that was easily absorbed and kept me completely engaged from beginning to end. It is a very unique course which shifted my meditation practice, – and I have enjoyed applying my new techniques every day upon return. I can highly recommend this course to anyone looking to enhance their meditation experience.”

“This experience was one of those ‘once in a lifetime’ ones that I will be forever grateful that I had. I have spent decades studying Eastern and in particular Vedic knowledge, and Steve’s delivery is absolutely exquisite. I found the entire Retreat to be wonderful, and in particular the people were all incredible and have become long term friends. This is a testament to Steve’s natural, humble and very witty approach to life, that attracts likeminded people. The depth of study, knowledge and practice was remarkable and I have found everything I learnt so useful for my daily life back in Australia. I would highly recommend this to anyone wishing to take their meditation practice to the next level. For anyone wanting to engage with life 200% and desiring a complete re-boot on how they live their life, to upgrade to one of purpose, authenticity and creativity, this is the experience for them.”
